We are a growing manufacturing organization launching a new Greenfield operation in Tijuana, Mexico. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business during its startup phase and play a key role in establishing financial, cost control, and inventory management processes from the ground up.
Position Summary
The Cost Analyst is responsible for analyzing and controlling manufacturing costs, expenses, and inventory, ensuring accurate financial information for decision-making. This role will support the development of cost control processes, budgeting activities, inventory management, and continuous cost improvement initiatives within a new manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze standard costs versus actual costs and identify cost variances.

Support monthly financial closing activities related to costs, expenses, and profit & loss (P&L).

Monitor and analyze inventory levels, transactions, and accuracy.

Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counting activities.

Prepare inventory and cost reports and recommend corrective actions.

Assist in budget planning, monitoring, and expense control.

Develop financial and operational reports for management review.

Identify and support cost reduction initiatives across the organization.

Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to improve operational efficiency.

Participate in the establishment and continuous improvement of cost accounting and inventory control processes.

Support special projects assigned by management.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in Cost Analysis, Inventory Control, Cost Accounting, or Financial Analysis within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of standard costing methodologies and variance analysis.

Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.

Advanced Excel skills.
