Role Description: Product Technician
As a Product Technician, you will be a fundamental technical asset on our production floor. This role is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, motor assembly, and the overall performance of electromechanical equipment strictly comply with engineering specifications and Nidec's highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute physical, dimensional, and functional tests on electric motors and sub-assembled components.
- Perform rigorous quality inspections on in-process and finished products.
- Conduct troubleshooting, failure analysis, and repairs to isolate defective mechanisms and optimize product performance.
- Assist engineering teams during line preparation (Set Up) processes and perform mechanical or electrical modifications as required.
- Accurately document product performance reports, checklists, and traceability records.
- Ensure that the final assembly meets all mechanical and electrical acceptance criteria established in the manuals.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma (GED) or Technical Degree (Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related fields).
- Technical Knowledge: Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams.
- Tool Proficiency: Mastery in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, multimeters).
- Experience: Proven previous experience in the automotive manufacturing industry (maquiladora), preferably in automotive manufacturing, motor assembly, or quality assurance/production support areas.
- Soft Skills: Extreme attention to detail, strong analytical capacity for problem-solving, and a team-oriented mindset.
