Job Description: Senior UX Product Designer

About the Position
Designed by Cats is a boutique UX agency looking for an experienced, methodical UX Designer with strong product experience to join our team. We are looking for someone who balances creative problem-solving with a highly organized, systematic approach to design. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between user needs and business objectives, ensuring our deliverables are both innovative and strategically sound. Experience in direct sales is a significant plus, as it informs your ability to design for our client’s direct sales model.
Duties and Responsibilities
- End-to-End Design: Lead UX and UI design phases, from initial wireframing and low-fidelity sketching to high-fidelity prototyping.
- Product Strategy: Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to define product roadmaps and features that solve real end-user problems.
- Organized Workflows: Maintain methodical documentation of design systems, user flows, and interaction models to ensure seamless hand-offs to development.
- Research & Iteration: Conduct design audits, perform usability testing, and iterate on solutions based on user data and feedback.
- Client Communication: Clearly articulate design decisions and strategies to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and business metrics.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in UX/Product design, preferably within an agency environment.
- Methodical Mindset: Highly organized with a systematic approach to problem-solving and file management.
- Communication: Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas simply.
- User-Minded: A strong understanding of the user journey from discovery to conversion; direct sales experience is a plus.
- Tool Proficiency: Expertise in Figma (prototyping and design systems) and other standard design tools.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to communicate effectively with developers to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of final execution.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating product-focused design, clear case studies, and a clean, user-centered aesthetic.
