We’re looking for a skilled CRM & Marketing Automation Specialist to help us support, manage, and improve our customized version of HighLevel, known internally as Boomerang.
This role is ideal for someone who understands CRMs, automation, integrations, client onboarding, and digital marketing, and who can work independently in a remote environment.
About the Role
As our CRM & Marketing Automation Specialist, you’ll help onboard clients, configure HighLevel accounts, build workflows, troubleshoot issues, support integrations, and help clients get more value from the platform.
You’ll work closely with our internal team to ensure campaigns, automations, lead flows, and CRM processes are set up properly and running smoothly.
This is not just a technical setup role. We’re looking for someone who can think strategically, communicate clearly, and help clients understand how to use the platform to improve speed-to-lead, follow-up, lead nurturing, and sales conversion.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Onboarding & Platform Setup
- Help onboard new clients onto our customized HighLevel platform.
- Configure accounts, pipelines, calendars, forms, users, permissions, notifications, tags, custom fields, and other core settings.
- Ensure each client’s setup is clean, organized, and aligned with their marketing and sales process.
- Train clients and internal team members on how to use the platform effectively.
CRM & Workflow Management
- Build, manage, and optimize CRM workflows inside HighLevel.
- Create automations for lead follow-up, missed calls, appointment reminders, reactivation campaigns, review requests, and nurture sequences.
- Help improve lead tracking, sales handoffs, pipeline visibility, and client reporting.
- Identify ways to make workflows more efficient, reliable, and easier to manage.
Integrations & Technical Support
- Set up and troubleshoot integrations between HighLevel and other tools, including Zapier, CallRail, landing pages, forms, Google Sheets, and client CRMs.
- Support API-based or custom integration projects when needed.
- Investigate issues with lead flow, notifications, automations, forms, and campaign tracking.
- Document setup steps, troubleshooting processes, and common fixes.
Campaign & Automation Support
- Build and support email, SMS, voicemail, and follow-up campaigns.
- Help launch automation playbooks for contractor clients, including speed-to-lead, nurture, rehash, reactivation, and review generation campaigns.
- Review campaign performance and recommend improvements.
- Make sure campaigns are properly tested before going live.
Client Success & Communication
- Support clients with platform questions, training, and troubleshooting.
- Explain technical or automation-related concepts in a simple, clear way.
- Proactively identify issues that could affect client satisfaction or retention.
- Help clients better understand how Boomerang can support their sales and marketing efforts.
Data, Reporting & Optimization
- Review CRM and campaign data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Help improve lead quality, follow-up rates, appointment setting, and conversion visibility.
- Share actionable insights with internal team members and, when needed, clients.
- Support reporting improvements and help ensure data is accurate across connected systems.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is technical, organized, proactive, and comfortable working with both internal teams and clients.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HighLevel or similar CRM/marketing automation platforms and understands how marketing campaigns, lead management, and follow-up systems work together.
Qualifications Required
- Hands-on experience with GoHighLevel, HighLevel, or a similar CRM/marketing automation platform.
- Strong experience building workflows, automations, pipelines, forms, tags, triggers, and campaigns.
- Experience with Zapier or similar integration tools.
- Strong understanding of CRM setup, lead management, and marketing automation.
- Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues independently.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Experience working with remote teams.
- Ability to manage multiple client setups, requests, and deadlines at the same time.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong Assets
- Experience working with digital marketing agencies.
- Experience supporting clients in North America.
- Knowledge of PPC, SEO, landing pages, lead generation, or website conversion.
- Experience with CallRail, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience creating SOPs, Loom videos, training guides, or internal documentation.
- Experience in a SaaS, CRM, or marketing automation support role.
Working Style
- This is a remote contractor role, with a starting contract of 1,500 CAD - 1,800 CAD/month
- You’ll be expected to manage your time well, communicate clearly, and stay organized across multiple projects.
- Because we serve clients across North America, some overlap with Eastern Time business hours is required for meetings, collaboration, and client support.
