We are looking for a General Manager to lead the full hotel operation, ensuring an exceptional guest experience in a high-impact tourist destination, while consistently delivering the brand’s values of authentic hospitality.
Position Objective
To lead the day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring outstanding service standards, operational efficiency, profitability, and a strong organizational culture based on respect, quality, and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel departments: Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Cleaning, Guest Services, and Experiences.
- Ensure consistent execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all areas.
- Deliver an outstanding guest experience by efficiently managing requests and resolving issues.
- Manage the operational budget, control costs, and maximize revenue.
- Analyze financial performance and prepare reports for Executive Management.
- Ensure hotel facilities are maintained in optimal condition, complying with safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers.
- Lead, train, and develop the team, fostering a culture aligned with the brand’s values.
- Design and oversee guest experiences in collaboration with the Experiences team.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager in luxury boutique hotels.
- Strong background in hotel operations and property management.
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.
- Advanced English (spoken and written).
- Experience leading multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid financial acumen: budgeting, cost control, and profitability.
- Proficiency with PMS and OTA platforms.
- Hands-on, ethical, and people-centered leadership style.
- Willingness to relocate to San José or nearby areas.
