Position Overview
Molina Insurance Group is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused Commercial Customer Service Representative (Renewals) to support the commercial insurance team throughout the policy renewal process. This role is primarily focused on outbound communication with clients to review policy information, verify account details, and assist in ensuring a smooth and timely renewal experience.
The ideal candidate has previous customer service experience, excellent communication and writing skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine interest in learning about the commercial insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact commercial clients primarily through outbound calls to review upcoming policy renewals.
- Verify and update client and policy information to ensure records remain accurate and complete.
- Review client policies for accuracy prior to the renewal process.
- Communicate with clients to gather any missing or updated information required for renewals.
- Review carrier portals to obtain policy information, renewal documents, and updates.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and detailed documentation of all client interactions within the CRM system.
- Process policy change requests (endorsements) when applicable.
- Assist with policy review and distribution to clients.
- Support the Account Manager with renewal-related administrative tasks.
- Respond to client questions regarding policy coverage, renewal timelines, and required documentation.
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining positive relationships with prospective, current, and former clients.
- Assist with inbound calls when business needs require additional support.
- Coordinate inspections or additional documentation requests when needed.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications using Google Calendar.
- Participate in recurring team meetings and complete assigned follow-up tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical standards in handling client information.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized electronic records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in Customer Service is required; experience within the insurance industry is a plus.
- Strong interest and willingness to learn about commercial insurance products and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong writing and note-taking abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience using CRM systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Calendar is a plus.
