International company dedicated to the manufacturing of lifting systems such as industrial and commercial elevators, as well as escalators, with a presence in China, Europe, and now in America, we are opening our new operation in Mexico.
Fluent bilingual English-Spanish. Chinese is a plus.
The Welding Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing welding processes for elevator components, ensuring compliance with international standards, and providing technical support for production quality improvement and CWB audit compliance. Have CWB and CWI certifications
Design welding procedures for elevator components (guide rails, support frames, structural welds), including parameter specification (current/voltage/speed), material matching (carbon steel/stainless steel), and method selection (MIG/TIG/laser welding).
Lead weldability assessments for new products, resolving defects like distortion control and weld porosity to comply with ASME/AWS D1.1 standards.
Technical Documentation & Standardization
Develop Welding Instructions (WI), Welding Procedure Specifications/Procedure Qualification Records (WPS/PQR), and inspection criteria to support ISO 3834 certification and client audits (e.g., North American OEMs).
Maintain welding process databases, ensuring alignment with Mexican NOM standards and CWB audit requirements (focus: weld strength, NDT compliance).
Tooling Design & CWB Audit SupportDesign/optimize welding fixtures and positioning jigs to enhance efficiency and dimensional accuracy Serve as primary CWB audit liaison, ensuring welder certification, PQR documentation, and processes meet Canadian Welding Bureau standards.
