The Role’s Impact:
As a Collections Specialist, you will be essential in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of collection notices and cash application transactions, maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our accounting records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle calls to collect outstanding balances from clients in a timely manner.
- Prepare balance summary spreadsheets and perform account reconciliations as requested.
- Review account notes and system data to ensure the accuracy of dollar amounts to be collected.
- Negotiate settlement offers and payment plans in close coordination with the Collection Manager.
Ideal Profile:
- 1 year of experience in customer service, data entry, or collections-related roles.
- College degree in Accounting or secondary educational coursework in introductory accounting.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
