We are looking for a Lead Python Engineer with extensive backend development experience and deep expertise in cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will be able to architect, lead the implementation of, and govern scalable backend platforms using Python and modern cloud technologies, while providing technical leadership to engineering teams.
Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of backend services and APIs using Python

Define and own the architecture of scalable cloud-based solutions and microservices

Drive technical decision-making across databases, queues, cloud services, and integrations
-
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with DevOps, QA, product, and engineering teams

Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and establish engineering best practices
-
Set and enforce standards for code quality, security, performance, and reliability
-
Oversee deployment strategies, monitoring, and incident response for production systems
-
Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical growth
-
Contribute to technical roadmap planning and align engineering execution with business goals
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in Python backend development, including 1+ years in a technical leadership role
-
Strong experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
-
Deep hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including architectural design
-
Proven experience designing and building REST APIs and distributed microservice systems

Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and data modeling
-
Strong background in CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices
-
Experience leading architecture and design discussions, and making high-impact technical decisions

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
-
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence across teams

Proficient communication and stakeholder management skills in English (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have

Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, including production-grade deployments

Experience designing serverless architectures at scale

Hands-on experience with data pipelines or event-driven architectures

Practical knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
