We are seeking a Lead JavaScript Software Engineer with a passion for building rich, responsive web and hybrid-mobile applications. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Next.js to deliver fast, SEO-friendly and mobile-first user interfaces, working closely with backend engineers, UX designers and product owners to translate interactive designs into clean, modular and reusable front-end code.
Responsibilities

Design and build high-performance, responsive web applications using React and Next.js (utilizing features like SSR, SSG and API routes)

Implement pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs that adapt seamlessly across devices, with a specific focus on optimizing layouts, animations and touch interactions for mobile viewports (including iOS/Android browsers)

Manage complex client-side state (e.g. Redux, Zustand, Context API) and integrate applications with backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs

Profile and optimize applications for maximum loading speed, Core Web Vitals and smooth rendering on lower-powered mobile devices

Craft exceptional web experiences that look and feel like native mobile apps

Optimize performance for both desktop and mobile web view browsers (including iOS Safari)

Write clean, maintainable and testable JavaScript/TypeScript

Conduct thorough code reviews and contribute to the shared UI component library
Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in software development

Proven experience in modern web development with a strong focus on building user-facing features

Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and React

Practical experience with the Next.js framework (App Router or Pages Router, Server Components)

Familiarity with modern CSS frameworks or methodologies (e.g. Tailwind CSS, styled-components, CSS Modules)

Experience in optimizing web apps for mobile browsers, PWAs (Progressive Web Apps), or integrating web views within hybrid mobile containers

Experience with Git and working in an Agile/Scrum development cycle
