About the Role: Our vibrant international school in Mexico City is seeking a strategic, empathetic, and well-connected International College Counselor to join our team for the upcoming academic year. We provide a multicultural environment where students are empowered to map out their global futures and confidently navigate their transition to higher education worldwide.
Are you ready to guide students through the exciting (yet sometimes daunting) world of international university admissions? We want a counselor who can build balanced paths, manage application logistics, and support families emotionally during this critical transition.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Advising: Guide high school students and their families through career exploration, university planning, and admissions processes for destinations including Mexico, the US, Canada, Europe, and beyond.

Application Management: Help students build balanced university lists that align with their academic profiles, interests, and financial needs. Monitor and manage applications, essays, recommendation letters, and standardized testing requirements while strictly meeting deadlines.

Community Workshops: Organize dynamic presentations, workshops, and informational sessions for parents and students, maintaining a culture of well-being and responsible decision-making throughout the process.

Global Networking: Maintain ongoing communication with universities and international admissions representatives, while collaborating internally with academic coordinators and teachers.

Data & Ethics: Maintain up-to-date, confidential records of each student's admissions journey, platforms, and prepare progress reports for school leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
Who You Are:

Qualified: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

Admissions Savvy: Proven experience in international university guidance and deep knowledge of global application platforms (e.g., Common App, UCAS) and higher education systems.

Master Communicator & Negotiator: Fluent proficiency in English. Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong bridges with families and university representatives.

Ethical & Organized: Ability to manage multiple student profiles and tight deadlines simultaneously, maintaining absolute confidentiality.
