MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to ensure compliance with trade
- Implement KPIs to measure operational and compliance efficiency.
- Supervise the preparation of IMMEX monthly reports and ensure compliance with Annex 24 and Annex 30.
- Monitors and manages regulatory changes in global customs legislation, providing updates and guidance to internal teams.
- Participate in the integration of the company's ERP system with the Annex 24 inventory control system to ensure a smooth and accurate flow of data.
- Provide support to the Director of Trade Compliance in the execution of strategies to optimize customs and compliance processes in order to reduce costs and operational risks.
- Ensure legal compliance with trade laws and regulations, including proper licensing for the entry and exit of merchandise from all business locations.
- Monitor the performance of customs brokers and other business partners related to trade compliance to maintain strong relationships that ensure efficient customs operations.
- Development and implementation of trade compliance programs and procedures for import and export regulatory compliance for all sites.
- Participates in the administration of the OEA & CTPAT organization's supply chain security programs for all sites.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance with import and export transactions, ensuring accurate declarations and identifying discrepancies.
- Develop and implement SOPs, SOWs, and instructions for standardizing processes across all sites.
- Implements and monitors risk mitigation plans at all sites.
- Assists and supports customs audits by Mexican and U.S. federal authorities.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in foreign trade or related field.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance standards.
- Analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of supply chain and organizational systems.
- Ability to learn to use ERP software/information systems.
