As part of the talented Global Advanced Manufacturing Technology team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer experience. This role applies DMAIC, Lean tools, and data analytics to drive measurable performance gains across operations and supporting functions. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will focus on leading well-scoped improvement projects, facilitating kaizen events, standardizing best practices, and building problem-solving capability within teams—under guidance of senior CI leadership when needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
-
Lead well-defined, cross-functional Lean Six Sigma projects using DMAIC to reduce variation, defects, waste, and cycle time.
-
Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
-
Facilitate kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops, including pre-work, execution, and follow-up sustainment.
-
Apply Lean practices such as 5S, SMED, visual management, standard work, takt/capacity balancing, pull systems.
-
Analyze process performance using appropriate statistical methods (e.g., capability analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, control charts).
-
Support data collection plans, measurement system evaluation (e.g., Gage R&R where applicable), and data integrity checks.
-
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other functions to remove barriers and drive adoption.
