Responsibilities
- Serve as the Supply Chain lead for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept development through production launch.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management teams to ensure successful commercialization of new products.
- Drive supplier sourcing, evaluation, qualification, and onboarding activities to meet cost, quality, technical, and timeline objectives.
- Lead supplier engagement throughout the design and development phases, supporting DFM, DFA, cost optimization, and supply chain risk mitigation initiatives.
- Coordinate RFQ activities, supplier selection processes, and cost analysis to ensure competitiveness and project success.
- Support engineering change implementation, tooling development, PPAP approvals, and production readiness activities.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and risk reduction.
- Monitor project milestones and proactively address sourcing, supplier, or supply chain challenges that could impact product launch timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Supplier Development, or New Product Introduction (NPI) environments.
- Proven experience supporting new product development projects from concept and prototype stages through production launch.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECO/ECNs).
- Experience collaborating closely with Engineering teams on Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and supplier technical issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience with supplier selection, RFQs, supplier development, cost analysis, and sourcing strategies for new products.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, First Article Inspection (FAI), tooling validation, and production readiness activities.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, injection molding, machining, upholstery, furniture manufacturing, or similar processes is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive multiple activities within a structured NPI or PMO environment.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Availability to travel (valid passport and visa required).
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
