At WKKC Mexicali, we are looking for aSanitation Coordinator who is passionate about food safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will lead and coordinate sanitation programs that help ensure our manufacturing environment meets the highest quality and food safety standards. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, support compliance initiatives, and play a key role in protecting our products, consumers, and employees.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Coordinate and monitor sanitation and cleaning programs to ensure compliance with established procedures and food safety requirements.
- Develop, review, and update sanitation procedures and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Verify and validate cleaning activities through inspections, audits, and specialized testing methodologies.
- Lead allergen cleaning verification and validation activities, including enzymatic analysis.
- Coordinate sanitation validations focused on pathogen elimination and biological risk prevention.
- Manage and follow up on environmental monitoring programs, including sample collection and analysis of microbiological, environmental, surface, and finished-product results.
- Support the implementation of new quality and food safety standards across the facility.
- Monitor sanitation and housekeeping performance, analyze KPIs and trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) programs and coach employees on food safety requirements.
- Investigate food safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed effectively.
- Deliver training programs on sanitation, GMPs, and food safety procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise the execution of the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Participate as a key member of the HACCP Team and collaborate with EHSS initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Processes, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (approximately 80%).
- At least1 year of experience in sanitation, quality, food safety, manufacturing, or a related area.
Knowledge Skills
- Understanding ofHACCP principles and food safety programs.
- Knowledge of sanitation processes, allergen control, and GMPs.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing operations and quality systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
