Responsibilities
Electrical Primary System Design
- Responsible for the primary system design of wind-solar-storage, powertransmission and transformation projects, including main wiring, primary equipment layout, busbar arrangement, etc.
- Complete primary equipment selection, parameter calculation and technical specification compilation; conduct short-circuit current calculation, current-carrying capacity calculation, insulation coordination, grounding design, etc.
Technical Document Compilation and Review
- Compile primary system drawings (main wiring diagram, system wiring diagram, layout plan, section view, grounding grid diagram, etc.).
- Compile equipment technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), bill of quantities (BOQ) and design specifications.
- Review outsourced design results to ensure compliance with international and target market standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.).
Cross-disciplinary Interface Coordination
- Coordinate interfaces with secondary engineering, electrical control, civil engineering, structural engineering, communication, fire protection and other disciplines.
- Communicate interface requirements with equipment manufacturers to ensure design feasibility; participate in design reviews and scheme optimization.
Overseas Project Support
- Participate in technical exchanges and Q&A with overseas owners, power grid companies and consulting firms.
- Assist the marketing team in technical scheme preparation and technical clarification; provide design support and handle on-site technical issues during the EPC execution phase; go to overseas sites for construction coordination and commissioning guidance when necessary.
Standards and Compliance
- Research and apply electrical standards, grid connection specifications and safety requirements of the project's host country.
- Ensure that design results comply with international and local laws and regulations, as well as environmental and safety requirements.
