The American School Foundation is seeking an analytical, highly organized Development Services Specialist to streamline financial tracking, donor management, major grants, and operational processes within the Institutional Advancement (IA) office. This position leads the administration of major grants, oversees extraordinary events, ensures legal compliance for donor transactions, and supports high-profile initiatives including the Capital Campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget & Financial Tracking: Monitor, allocate, and track the IA department’s annual budget in compliance with school finance policies. Analyze financial data and generate budget utilization reports.
Major Grants & Donor Management: Administer and manage major grants for the IA department. Oversee the administrative pipeline for donations and sponsorships, maintaining complete donor records and supporting stewardship processes.
Regulatory Compliance & Anti-Money Laundering: Ensure all incoming donations, major grants, and sponsorships comply with institutional policies and national regulatory frameworks, specifically regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) identification and reporting standards.
Event & Meeting Logistics: Organize and execute extraordinary events assigned to the IA office. Manage venue setups, AV equipment, and materials for high-level meetings, specifically supporting the Capital Campaign.
Database & Record Keeping: Maintain structured digital and physical archives for donors, sponsors, grants, and events while managing departmental database operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish (Mandatory B2 level minimum).
Legal & Regulatory Knowledge:
Technical & Software Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience in database management (Salesforce or a similar CRM).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
