General Summary
The Manufacture Engineer works in the area of fabrication. Responding directly to the Engineer coordinator responsible of the area. The Manufacture engineer will have to implement new products respecting lean production process in his area. He will be responsible of the development, Introduction and support the daily operation of every components processed on the machine. The Manufacture Engineer is the first contact in regard for calibration and programation of the machine. The Manufacture Engineer is always responsible to keep all tools and machines in best working condition and keep balance the workload between workstations.
Experience and Education
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, etc.)
Three years of experience in Engineering, Stamping, tube bending, welding processes, lean manufacturing, technical solve problems.
Knowledge, Skills and Certifications
Bilingual (80% English & Spanish) both oral and written
3D Modeling Software
Six Sigma methodologies
AutoCAD, Catia, Solid works.
Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrics knowledge.
GD&T knowledge
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing: Material Flow, KanBan, 7 Wastes, FMEA, DFM, SMED, Problem Solving, 5S.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Develop manufacturable Parts/Components with R&D respecting equipment capability
Asses and releases manufacture drawings
Assessing equipment requirements
Design process and tooling for production that meets safety and quality standards.
Design the transfer hooks & transfer carts.
Define hand tools Requirement
Create, deliver and up-date the work instructions
Make and maintain a list of spare parts and create a preventive maintenance schedule
Support daily operation
Provide all information required in SAP in areas in charged
Provide all information required for PPAP ion areas in charged
Implement Lean Manufacturing Ideology
Create and maintain the workload capacity record of the machine
Create and maintain the material flow chart related with the machine
Create and maintain an efficient Kanban area
Follow up of risk assessment on the areas in charge.
Build the P3, Pilot and Dry Run parts.
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the department supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) determined for their role in relation to the standard ISO9001: 2015.
Comply with safety rules according to the function.
Comply in time planned trainings related to Quality and Training.
Identify and report any quality and compliance issues and support corrective actions.
