Summary
Core Molding Technologies is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead plant engineering operations, supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing performance.
This role is responsible for process engineering, new product launches, equipment optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Engineering Manager leads cross-functional teams to deliver results across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while supporting key initiatives such as DCPD transfer and sustaining Power Sports operations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the plant engineering function, including process engineering and mold change teams

Drive performance across key KPIs (safety, people, quality, delivery, cost)

Lead new product introduction (NPI), APQP, and product launch execution

Support transfer and industrialization of DCPD operations, including process setup and ramp-up

Sustain and optimize existing manufacturing processes, including Power Sports operations

Develop and improve manufacturing processes, layouts, and standards to enhance quality and efficiency

Lead capital planning and justification for tooling, equipment, and process improvements
-
Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
-
Ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues (A3, 8D, etc.)

Maintain and improve process control systems (PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, error-proofing)

Ensure all engineering changes follow formal change management processes

Support maintenance strategy alignment for equipment reliability and performance

Develop and mentor engineering team members to build technical capability

Support internal audits, customer audits, and compliance activities
-
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards

Promote 5S, safety, and environmental responsibility across operations
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field

5–8+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience in manufacturing

Experience with process engineering, industrialization, and product launches (APQP)

Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment, and process optimization

Experience supporting plant transfers and/or new program launches

Strong problem-solving skills (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
Preferred

Master’s degree in Engineering or related field

Experience in injection molding, composites, or similar manufacturing environments

Experience with DCPD or advanced materials processes
