Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist
Pay Rate: $5.00 – $6.00 USD/hr (Approx. $867.50 – $1,041.00 USD/month base)
Shift & Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (40 hours/week)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position (Immediate Hire / ASAP)
Location: 100% Remote (Open exclusively to candidates residing in Latin America)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Medical Billing Specialist for a permanent, full-time remote opportunity. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting healthcare billing operations by managing claim rejections, handling collections, tracking insurance authorizations, and ensuring efficient day-to-day billing processes.
Key Functions & Responsibilities
- Follow up on claim rejections and manage outstanding balances and collections.
- Track and manage insurance authorizations and recertifications to ensure continuous coverage.
- Communicate directly with insurance companies and internal healthcare teams regarding billing issues.
- Maintain precise, accurate billing records and updated patient/account documentation.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to ensure efficient healthcare billing operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Healthcare Billing Experience: Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare billing, specifically handling claim rejections, collections, and insurance authorizations.
- Process Knowledge: Strong knowledge of end-to-end healthcare billing processes.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced English speaking and written communication skills to communicate effectively with insurance companies and internal teams.
- Professional Traits & Capabilities: High attention to detail, excellent organizational and follow-up skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
