- Plan and control the procurement of raw materials and production components.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to support production schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Issue purchase requisitions and follow up on purchase orders.
- Manage inbound materials and verify quantities and quality upon receipt.
- Monitor material consumption and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Analyze material requirements based on production plans and customer demand.
- Prevent material shortages and minimize excess inventory.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Manage FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices and inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and material status reports.
- Support cost reduction initiatives through effective inventory and material control.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or MES) for material planning and inventory management.
