Responsible for managing the full piping scope (fabrication and installation), ensuring safe, on-time, and compliant execution in large-scale industrial projects such as ammonia, methanol, and petrochemical plants.
This is a highly operational, site-driven role.
- Manage all piping activities: spool definition, fabrication (on/off-site), and installation
- Define critical lines, system sequences, and work fronts
- Weekly planning and 4-week lookahead
- Ensure material and resource availability
- Monitor productivity (fabrication and erection)
- Track progress, costs, and schedule
- Coordinate piping supervisors
- Manage subcontractors in terms of performance, quality, safety, and contractual compliance
- Lead coordination meetings
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
- Control inspections, welding, traceability, and NDT
- Review reports and payment applications
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, and HSE teams
- Handle RFIs and technical queries
- Report to the Mechanical Site Manager
- Enforce safety procedures
- Ensure proper lifting and material handling plans
- Promote a strong safety culture
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Minimum 5 years in similar roles
- Strong experience in piping fabrication and erection
- Petrochemical project experience is preferred
- Materials: Carbon steel, alloy steel (P11, P22, P91), stainless steel, HDPE, GRP
- Codes and standards: ASME, API
- English is mandatory
- Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German are a plus
