We are looking for a Lead Python Developer to become part of our team.
In this position, you will help create dependable, scalable backend services that power business-critical operations. You will partner closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver top-quality solutions that satisfy strict performance and security standards.
Responsibilities

Architect and build backend services and APIs that enable essential business capabilities

Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested Python code aligned with industry standards

Take part in architectural discussions and help guide the team's technical direction

Work alongside product owners, architects, and fellow developers to convert business needs into technical outcomes

Engage actively in code reviews by providing constructive feedback and elevating overall code quality

Diagnose, investigate, and address production incidents in a prompt manner

Enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of applications across services

Keep thorough documentation for delivered components and related processes

Support ongoing enhancement of engineering practices, tooling, and workflows

Team up with globally distributed colleagues to deliver features across various time zones
Requirements
-
No less than 5 years of hands-on professional background in backend software engineering
-
Minimum of 1 year in people management or team leadership, overseeing a team of 5 or more FTEs
-
Practical experience with Python using frameworks like Flask and FastAPI, together with Postgres, Docker, and Redis
-
Firm dedication to test automation, covering both detailed unit testing and manual integration testing
-
Track record of working within agile teams on complex, high-stakes systems
-
Team-oriented mindset with an active commitment to code reviews and knowledge sharing

Comfort collaborating productively with colleagues located around the world

Working familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence for tracking work and sharing knowledge

Applied understanding of native cloud services, including S3 buckets, Lambda, AWS AKS, and CloudWatch
-
Confident English communication skills at B2 level or above, in both written and spoken forms

Practical background with GitHub Actions for automating CI/CD workflows

Awareness of Jira and GitHub integrations for streamlining engineering processes

Knowledge of DevOps best practices applied to building and operating modern software solutions

Previous exposure to financial services, with subject-matter understanding of payments, wire transfers, account reconciliations, and cash management

Hands-on use of Cursor as an AI-assisted development environment

Working knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment tasks

Familiarity with ReactJS to assist or collaborate on frontend-related activities
