Position Summary
The Textile Sourcing Specialist at Thirty Three Threads is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing our global network of raw material mills and finished goods manufacturers. Operating in the premium activewear and barefoot fitness space (Yoga, Pilates, Barre), this role ensures that our supply chain balances optimum product innovation, costing margins, strict production timelines, and high quality.
Key Responsibilities:

Global Partner Sourcing: Build, maintain, and expand strategic relationships with international material suppliers, textile mills, and garment manufacturers (primarily in Asia and Central America).

Factory Capabilities Assessment: Evaluate global factory machinery capabilities, capacities, and technical expertise to allocate seasonal collections to the most appropriate manufacturers.

Vendor Accountability: Track, monitor, and hold global vendors accountable for meeting agreed-upon production lead times, shipment ex-factory dates, and quality execution.

Costing Ownership: Drive initial and final product costing. Negotiate competitive FOB/LDP pricing, volume tiers, payment terms, and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) with overseas suppliers to maintain or exceed target gross margins.

Financial Tracking: Track costing adjustments throughout the product development lifecycle and proactively communicate financial impacts to cross-functional brand partners.

Performance Material Sourcing: Partner with Design and Development to lead fabric and trim development, specifically focused on technical performance textiles (circular and seamless knits, wovens, and moisture-wicking/antimicrobial properties).

Timeline Execution: Manage development and sourcing calendars across multiple overlapping seasons to ensure that raw material submits, lab dips, strike-offs, and pre-production samples (PPS) are approved on time.
