Gather and analyze reporting requirements from business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Business Analysts.
Test, deploy, and maintain Cognos reports/Power BI, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting solutions.
Maintain and document Cognos Framework Manager packages using relational, star diagrams.
Develop complex calculations, metrics, query subjects, drill-through functionality, conditional blocks, and report variables.
Implement scheduling, distribution, and report bursting.
Optimize SQL queries, Cognos reports, packages, and database performance.
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reporting availability, accuracy, and performance.
Support Cognos migrations, cloud modernization, and reporting-platform upgrades to Power BI.
Work with ETL and data-engineering teams to validate data flows and resolve data-quality issues.
Create technical documentation and follow established development, testing, and deployment standards.
Coordinate reporting assignments and provide technical guidance to other team members.
Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to technical and business leadership.
