We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director to take the lead of HR across two growing organizations in the United States and Mexico.
Our U.S. company has more than 250 employees across the western United States with majority of the staff (and headquarters) in California. Our Mexico company operates a growing BPO in Tijuana with more than 20 employees and significant expansion planned.
This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership position and help shape the future of HR across both organizations.
You will work directly with executive leadership, oversee HR operations across two countries, build and improve systems and processes, develop our HR team, and help create the infrastructure needed to support our continued growth.
This position is based in Tijuana and employed through our Mexican entity. You will initially lead an HR Manager and HR Specialist located in Los Angeles, with the opportunity to build and expand the HR department as the companies grow.
What You Will Lead
- HR strategy and operations across the United States and Mexico.
- Compliance with U.S. federal and state employment laws, with extensive responsibility for California employment law.
- Employee relations, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, and terminations.
- Development and improvement of HR policies, systems, processes, and employee handbooks.
- Recruiting, onboarding, employee development, retention, and offboarding.
- Leadership and development of the HR team.
- Strategic HR support for executive leadership and company managers.
- HR infrastructure necessary to support significant company growth.
What We Require
- Previous experience as an HR Director, Head of HR, Senior HR Manager, or similar HR leadership role.
- Experience overseeing HR operations in both the United States and Mexico.
- Experience supporting organizations with 250 or more employees.
- Experience building or significantly improving an HR department.
- Experience supporting rapidly growing organizations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal employment law.
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience with California employment law.
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Experience managing and developing HR professionals.
- Fluent or professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Ability and authorization to regularly travel to the United States.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for more than someone to maintain an existing HR department.
We want a hands-on HR leader who is excited to build, improve, and grow.
The right person will be comfortable working directly with executive leadership, solving complex problems, developing strong managers, building scalable HR systems, and taking real ownership of the HR function.
If you are looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact, help build a growing international organization, and shape the future of HR across two countries, this is that opportunity.
