Job Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled Tier 3 Network Engineers with strong backgrounds in Rukus switches, Aruba switches, Fortinet firewalls - and extensive experience in the hospitality industry (hotels and resorts) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting networking equipment and security solutions, particularly Ruckus, Aruba, and Fortinet products. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures for hospitality environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for end-users.
In this engineering company, "Tier 3" is the top-most tier of the engineering department (equivalent to Tier 6 in other companies).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot captive portal solutions for hotspot authentication using various authentication mechanisms.
- From scratch: Build, rebuild, and manage Ruckus and Aruba switches in hospitality environments.
- From scratch: Configure and deploy Fortinet gateways and firewalls, including setting up interfaces and applying Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Implement Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking, including VLANs using DOT1Q (802.1Q) or ISL protocols.
- Configure and manage Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) for optimal network performance.
- Set up and troubleshoot switch stacks with multiple uplinks and configure QSFP Link Aggregation Groups for increased bandwidth.
- Onboard and manage devices using Aruba Instant AP (IAP) Version 8 and Version 10.
- Manage Aruba Central and understand co-channel interference mitigation strategies.
- Integrate network solutions with Property Management Systems (PMS) used in hospitality environments.
- Work with Ruckus and Aruba Controllers & SmartZones to optimize wireless networks.
- Utilize Nomadix Gateways and Solution IP for seamless guest connectivity.
- Support various Fortinet product models, ensuring a diverse and adaptable approach to security infrastructure.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in the hospitality industry working with networking solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Ruckus, Aruba, and Fortinet networking equipment.
- Strong knowledge of ACLs, VLANs, and Spanning Tree configurations.
- Expertise in firewall setup, switch configuration, and network security best practices.
- Familiarity with co-channel interference mitigation and wireless network optimization.
- Experience integrating networks with Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in high-demand environments.
- Certifications in Aruba, Ruckus, Fortinet, or related fields are highly desirable.

Preferred Certifications:
- Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert)
- Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)/Professional (ACMP)
- Ruckus Wireless/Wired Certifications
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent)
Wage and Benefits:
USD $1500 -to- USD $2000 per month (this is the correct salary range)
