Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP ByDesign Production Consultant with strong expertise in manufacturing processes and SAP Production Planning.
The ideal candidate will bring deep functional knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to support both implementation and ongoing system optimization.
Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant, you will:
- Analyze and diagnose business and system issues using advanced analytical techniques
- Gather requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops
- Develop and present actionable recommendations
- Support clients in implementing and optimizing SAP solutions
You will also:
- Deliver SAP Production Planning solutions aligned with business needs
- Participate in design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational performance
- Develop business cases and support performance measurement efforts
- Manage client relationships throughout the full project lifecycle
Core Responsibilities (SAP Focus)
- Lead and contribute to SAP Production Planning (PP) process deliverables
- Work across the full production lifecycle, including procurement and operations
- Participate in solution design, build, testing, and deployment
- Improve operational efficiency and business performance metrics
Required Qualifications/Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of SAP Production Planning and Manufacturing processes in at least three scenarios:
- Discrete Manufacturing
- Process Manufacturing
- Repetitive Manufacturing
- KANBAN
- Experience with:
- Master Data management
- MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Production orders and capacity planning
- Factory calendar
- Costing integration
- Hands-on experience in customizing SAP PP functionalities
- Knowledge of SAP Logistics processes, including:
- Material Management (MM)
- Batch Management
- Handling Units
- Variant Configuration
- Experience with:
- SAP standard procurement processes
- Classification systems
- BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Ability to troubleshoot:
- IDOCs
- Outputs
- Standard SAP tables
- Experience creating Functional Specifications (reports, interfaces, programs)
Project Experience
- Participation in SAP PP implementation projects (configuration and testing required)
- Experience in requirements gathering and deployment is a plus
- Alternatively:
- Minimum 6+ years in SAP support (AMS) environments
- Experience managing tickets (incidents, enhancements, problem-solving)
Mandatory Requirements
- Education: Relevant degree in Engineering, IT, or related field
- Professional experience in SAP PP / manufacturing environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Language proficiency (English required; additional languages are a plus)
- Solid technical background (SAP tech stack)
Nice to Have
- Experience with full-cycle SAP implementations
- Exposure to international projects
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 environments
