General job description
- Interacts daily with Couriers/Sales/Customer Service to coordinate load volumes for domestic services.
- Monitors loading and unloading of trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Formulates alternate plans as needed to include additional trucks
- Coordinates any delays, overflows, cancellations, and re-routes, to ensure on time arrivals and departures.
- Leads and provides support to cargo handling employees.
- Coordinates and monitors split and routing of freight through interline (passenger airlines), and feeders; to ensure on time arrival of cargo to final destination.
- Completes and maintains updated records of all related paperwork.
- Generates reports regarding levels on operational service metrics (OSM).
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
- College degree preferred.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
Minimum Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
- Customs Certification and/or License.
- Drivers license required.
Minimum Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Analytical ability with basic knowledge of FedEx systems.
- Able to work variable shifts in a 7 day a week, 24 hour operation.
