About the Position
Ox School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Spelling Teacher to join our Primary School team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching spelling, phonics, pronunciation, and vocabulary development while fostering students' confidence and enthusiasm for the English language.
This position also includes organizing and leading school spelling competitions, including our annual Spelling Bee, and collaborating with classroom teachers to strengthen students' literacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging spelling, phonics, pronunciation, and vocabulary lessons for elementary students.
- Develop students' reading fluency and spelling accuracy through creative, interactive instruction.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers and the English Department to support student achievement.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
- Maintain effective communication with school administration and families when required.
- Promote a culture of respect, responsibility, and academic excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Literature, Modern Languages, or a related field.
- Native or near-native English speaker.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.
- Experience teaching phonics, reading, spelling, or literacy instruction is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for working with children and inspiring a love for language learning.
- Spanish proficiency is an advantage but not required.
Requirements
- Legal documentation to work in Mexico is required.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
- Reliable transportation or no commuting issues to Campus Sendero.

- Monday to Friday
- 7:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

Salary
MXN $22,500.00 per month
