POSITION OBJECTIVE
As Industrial Engineering Coordinator you are responsible to lead the IE team to define the right methods to achieve the highest safety, quality & efficient process according to BRP standards. A continuous and proactively communication and collaboration is necessary to promote the proper involvement of stakeholders & key players as well as to keep informed to the leadership team and global functions.
This scope considers not only the current processes but also the process changes and new product/process implementations. A strategy of continuous improvement should be deployed through the team as well as the required problem solving projects to achieve the operational KPIs. The strategy to maintain the Opex/Capex planning and execution according to the plan is a key activity to achieve financial goals.
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES:
- Deploy a strategy to keep alive and under continuous improvement the Line Balancing process in order to achieve the labor efficiency targets.
- Ensure that process configuration, layout, equipment and tools maximize the VA/NVA ratio and operational KPIs.
- Ensure that architecture configuration in the system is aligned with operational requirements and constraints
- Ensure that line speed is aligned with the projected volumes, adjust according variations in order to keep the Direct HC indicators according to the plan or improving.
- Ensure the installed capacity is aligned with the long term capacity plans, if not, develop a plan to adjust capacity based on needs.
- Establish the strategy for the operational smooth introduction of new platforms and line up in the current assembly process without a negative impact in the operational KPIs
- Follow up on NPD deliverables to ensure the completion according to the scope and in the time required.
- Establish the necessary 1:1s or governances with the key stakeholders (QRO or other sites) in order to ensure the proper follow up an execution for the MY or new platforms as well as special projects.
- Integrate the standards required to ensure the safety work space and workstation design to prevent risks for the collaborators.
- Conduct the risk assessment process with the multidisciplinary team for riks identification, and stablish the required actions.
- Define the standards for assembly methods based on lean manufacturing principles to ensure that our processes are robust enough to enable our people to produce high quality engines/vehicles.
- Ensure that corrective actions are robust enough to avoid the causes of the failure mode incidences that impact Quality.
- Create a continuous improvement culture by using lean manufacturing principles (BRPMS)
- Coordinate the required activities to ensure the proper ECN introductions without negative impact to our processes.
- Assure assigned projects are achieved on time following PMO Tools and BRP standards.
- Actively participate in developing and maintaining the FMEA’s to ensure adapted
countermeasures to the risks are properly implemented in the assembly lines.
- Risk identification and escalation in all the topics is a key responsibility
- Support proactively the team in the problem solving processes that requires your involvement
- Perform the annual revision of each of the engineers in the team through the implementation of SMART based objectives and providing on time follow up via PMP process.
- Assess the team based on the Skill Matrix to determine which are the development and maturity level and establish the proper plans to develop strategically the employees
- Follow up on PDP to support employees to their growth
- Establish the required 1:1s to keep on track individual deliverables, objectives progress and personnel development of your team.
- Control department cost to meet financial objectives (CAPEX/OPEX)
- Identify CPU potential improvements
- Following up and keeping alive the ISO processes related to the area.
- Follow BRP policies, conduct yourself according our values and behaviors
- Enforce Quality BRP policy

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree related to the area
5 Years: At least
Experience in a previous related position. (IE/ME/NPD)
24 Months of experience in project management is desirable.
Technical and conversational English, essential for understanding manuals and software.
