The Operations Manager – Mexico will be responsible for leading the country's operational execution, coordinating logistics, inventory, installations, technical service, and customer support while working closely with Sales and other business functions.
This role requires a highly organized and analytical leader who can translate commercial commitments into efficient operational execution, identify risks before they become problems, and continuously improve processes, service levels, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations.
- Ensure the effective execution of customer orders and commercial projects from order confirmation through delivery, installation, and final handover.
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, inventory, warehousing, installations, technical service, and spare parts.
- Develop and monitor operational plans, schedules, priorities, and resource allocation.
- Ensure customer commitments and delivery timelines are met.
- Partner closely with the Sales team to assess operational feasibility, timelines, resources, and costs associated with new projects.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, service levels, costs, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, quality, and cost optimization.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers, installation teams, technical personnel, and other external partners.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels and efficient utilization of resources.
- Oversee the resolution of operational issues, escalations, warranties, and service-related matters.
- Develop, coach, and lead the operations team, fostering accountability and a customer-focused culture.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and other areas to ensure end-to-end business alignment.
- Provide management with regular reports, operational insights, risks, and recommendations.
Requirements
- ADVANCED ENGLISH IS A MUST.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within a B2B, commercial, distribution, manufacturing, equipment, or project-based environment.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external service providers.
- Strong experience in logistics, inventory management, project execution, and customer service.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex operational processes simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with operational KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Business-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer experience and profitability.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with Sales and Commercial teams.
- Willingness to travel within Mexico when required.
