Position Overview:
The Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) supports mortgage loan officers in facilitating the loan origination process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant loan file submissions. This role involves managing administrative tasks, maintaining client communication, gathering documentation, and coordinating with all stakeholders in the mortgage process to enhance the loan officer’s productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Support & Communication
- Act as a primary point of contact for borrowers during the application process.
- Answer client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Schedule appointments and follow up with clients for documentation or signatures.
- Provide status updates to clients and agents throughout the loan process.
2. Loan File Preparation
- Collect and review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit reports, etc.).
- Organize and submit loan files to processing and underwriting.
- Ensure all required disclosures and compliance documents are completed and signed.
3. Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate records in the loan origination system (LOS).
- Prepare and send pre-approval letters under direction of the loan officer.
- Track loan progress from application to closing.
- Order third-party services (appraisals, credit reports, title work, verifications, etc.).
4. Coordination with Team Members
- Communicate with processors, underwriters, and closing agents to resolve file issues.
- Ensure milestones are met and escalate delays or issues to the loan officer.
- Attend internal team meetings and contribute to pipeline management.
5. Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure loan files are compliant with federal, state, and investor regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Follow internal policies and maintain confidentiality of borrower information.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of U.S. Mortgage Experience
- Bilingual/Fluent in English (C1) & Spanish

- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
- Data Entry and CRM Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
