YOUR ROLE
As a process engineer on our team, you will be providing technical support in the assembly processes area, coordinate activities in maintenance and engineering and support to manufacturing departments.
In your daily job you will:
- Define preventive and corrective maintenance and ensure correct execution and effectiveness based on Downtime, OEE, Scrap, & FTQ performance.
- Review process set ups to assure the machine is working with the right parameters and under specification
- Perform MSA & Capability studies, thermal profiles, strain analysis for equipment and tooling assigned
- Define standard work for technicians and ensure execution
- Use of structured problem-solving methodologies for problem resolution.
- Support response team – corrective actions for assembly plant and warranty returns
- Actively participate in operational and quality meetings (KPI meetings, MRVA, operations reviews, escalations)
- Define, implement and maintain spare parts set-ups
- Review PFMEA for product assigned and update if required. Ensure that PFMEA and QP match on the blocks sequence
- Perform safety observation tour, layer process audit checklist, kaizen and good catch ideas.
- Support and perform process audits/assessments.
- Define improvements to reduce cycle time, error proofing, automation on the assembly process.
- Quote and order equipment and tooling with local and global suppliers.
Support new launches and transfer projects.

YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Completed bachelor's degree
- Advanced English: written and spoken
- +2 years of experience in similar position
- Experience in automotive industry
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes:
o Full automated processes (using EPSON Robots or similar)
o Adhesive dispensing system
o Plastic welding machines (laser/vibration)
o AOI system, vision system and scanners.
o Assembly process (screwdriving, pin insertion, heated stake, press)
o Depanelization (long blade, router/milling)
- Hands-on in maintenance activities for machine and equipment
- Experience in preventive maintenance for industrial assembly equipment
- Knowledge to develop, update and review: PFMEA, MSA, CPK, Quality Plan, Process setup.
- High level of analytical ability, understanding machine drawings, mechanical/ electrical/ pneumatic drawings.
- Knowledge on IATF 16949 and Customer Specific Requirements.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (3L5W, Ishikawa, Pareto).
Effective leadership, verbal communication and positive attitude skills.
