We are looking for a highly motivated Night Transportation Monitoring Specialist to join our Operations team.
Position Summary
The Night Transportation Monitoring Specialist is responsible for monitoring assigned trucks and shipments throughout their routes, ensuring on-time performance, responding to customer requests, and proactively identifying and resolving transportation issues before they impact service.
This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work eAiciently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor the real-time location and progress of assigned trucks and shipments.
Ensure drivers follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
Respond promptly to customer requests regarding shipment status and ETAs.
Provide accurate updates to customers, dispatchers, and internal departments.
Identify delays, route deviations, breakdowns, or service interruptions and escalate when necessary.
Maintain accurate shipment records and operational logs.
Communicate eAectively with drivers, dispatch, maintenance, and customers.
Update transportation management systems (TMS) with current shipment information.
Prepare shift reports and communicate critical information during shift handoA.
Maintain a high level of customer service while managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
Qualifications
Bilingual (English & Spanish) – Required
Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or freight monitoring preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressure.
Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experience with GPS tracking systems like Samara and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
