We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Global Launches & Transfers to lead the global strategy, governance, and execution of new product launches and business transfers across multiple regions.
This role will ensure successful product introduction aligned with customer commitments, operational readiness, quality standards, and financial targets , while building scalable and standardized launch processes across the organization.
- Lead and develop a global launch organization (engineering, quality, and launch teams).
- Establish performance objectives, KPIs, and accountability across regions.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as escalation point for high-risk or complex programs.
- Define and implement global standards for New Product Introduction (NPI) and transfers.
- Ensure consistent application of launch methodologies (APQP, DFx, risk management).
- Lead executive phase-gate reviews and ensure readiness for product launches.
- Drive alignment between customer expectations, contracts, and operational capabilities.
- Oversee complex, multi-site product launches and transfers.
- Identify and mitigate risks in cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
- Support sites lacking resources or expertise during early launch phases.
- Capture and deploy lessons learned across the organization.
- Act as key interface with customers, operations, engineering, and supply chain.
- Align launch schedules, technical requirements, and sourcing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and demand commitments.
- Drive cost optimization and manufacturability improvements.
- Develop cost models for new products and regional transfers.
- Support strategic decisions such as low-cost region transfers.
- Align initiatives with overall business and operational strategy.
- 10+ years in program management, operations, engineering, or manufacturing.
- 8+ years in leadership roles managing global teams.
- Proven track record leading complex, multi-site product launches.
- Strong understanding of:
- Manufacturing engineering
- Quality systems
- Supply chain & operations
- Experience in EMS or precision manufacturing preferred.
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Financial acumen (cost modeling, risk analysis, business cases).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Willingness to travel globally (50–75%).
