About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Overseas Business Development professional based in Mexico to drive local client acquisition and partnership growth. You will focus on identifying, negotiating, and closing deals with local businesses that have outbound promotion needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute overseas market expansion plans – Independently acquire high-quality local clients, manage the full sales cycle (lead generation, negotiation, contracting, and payment collection).
- Understand client needs deeply – Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, resolve operational issues, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
- Nurture client & media relationships – Gather regular feedback, maintain strong long-term partnerships, ensure service continuity, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Monitor market intelligence – Track industry trends, competitor activities, and local business environment; adjust acquisition strategies accordingly.
- Achieve sales targets – Drive consistent revenue growth and meet/exceed KPIs set by the company.
- Explore new collaboration opportunities – Proactively seek and develop new resources, partnerships, and growth avenues aligned with business needs.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Experience: 2+ years of local B2B sales/business development experience in Mexico or Latin America, with a proven track record of acquiring clients independently.
- Languages: Fluent in English (working language); Spanish proficiency is highly preferred (Portuguese is a plus). Open to foreign nationals legally allowed to work in Mexico.
- Core competencies: Strong planning, execution, and problem-solving skills; self-motivated, accountable, and proactive. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to work effectively with global teams and local clients.
- Client & project focus: Customer-centric mindset with proven ability to drive projects from start to finish.
- Resilience & adaptability: Goal-driven, comfortable with high-pressure targets, willing to travel domestically/internationally or be stationed abroad if needed.
