Onboarding Specialist – Home Care Agency

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join our growing home care agency. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring newly hired caregivers complete all onboarding requirements efficiently and accurately so they can begin working as quickly as possible.
The ideal candidate is proactive, excellent at following up, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and committed to providing an outstanding onboarding experience for new employees.
Responsibilities
- Guide newly hired caregivers through the onboarding process from offer acceptance to active employment.
- Collect and review all required employment documentation.
- Ensure licenses, certifications, identification, and other compliance documents are complete and up to date.
- Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and any additional pre-employment requirements.
- Schedule orientation sessions and communicate onboarding timelines.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the company's systems.
- Follow up consistently with new hires to ensure all onboarding tasks are completed on time.
- Work closely with recruiters, HR, scheduling, and management to ensure caregivers are cleared to begin work.
- Track onboarding progress and identify delays before they become issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and supporting new employees throughout the process.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in onboarding, HR, recruiting, staffing, or administrative support preferred.
- Experience in home care, healthcare, or healthcare staffing is a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding files simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HR software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.

Pay: $18,000.00 - $22,000.00 per month
