Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement ManagerPosition Objective
Lead Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities for North American manufacturing operations by designing, developing, and implementing a robust, standardized quality management system suitable for a low-volume, highly customized automation company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement the company’s quality management system.
- Initiate, promote, and lead company-wide continuous improvement programs.
- Serve as the senior quality expert for matters involving customers, suppliers, and other corporate entities.
- Conduct equipment health and performance assessments at customer manufacturing facilities.
- Supervise the daily activities of support personnel responsible for maintaining the quality system.
- Partner with Human Resources to provide quality system orientation and training to new employees.
- Represent the company’s interests in product quality and performance matters involving other regional corporate groups.
- Facilitate lessons-learned sessions and quality discussions with project teams.
- Ensure that positive and negative project findings are communicated to future project teams.
- Participate in simultaneous engineering meetings and design reviews as the subject-matter expert for quality.
- Promote employee participation and cross-functional cooperation in the consistent use of the established quality system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
- More than 10 years of experience in the automation industry.
- Experience developing and using quality operating or quality management systems for low-volume, highly customized products.
- Strong understanding of Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) concepts, applications, and practical results.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Team building and leadership.
- Continuous improvement initiatives.
- Organizational, operational, and product performance metrics.
- Experience in the automotive and/or semiconductor industries is preferred.

Language and Travel Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Must hold a valid passport and a U.S. B1 visa, or have no known restrictions that would prevent obtaining one.
- Availability to travel to the United States approximately four to five times per year.
- Each trip is expected to last approximately five days.
- Travel will generally be to customer sites in the United States.
