Join Emerson as an Accountant to support the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all Mexican statutory accounting activities. The role manages end-to-end accounting and reporting activities under Mexican Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (MEXGAAP), supporting regulatory compliance, external audits, and statutory financial reporting requirements for the Company.
This role is essential to ensure continuity, regulatory compliance, and operational stability for the Company. The position safeguards the integrity of statutory financial reporting, supports successful completion of audit requirements, and provides critical oversight of Cash Pool related activities, minimizing compliance, financial, and operational risks.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support month-end and ongoing accounting processes by organizing financial data and maintaining reporting accuracy.
· Maintain and manage all statutory accounting records and books under MEXGAAP for Toluca Mexico entity.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican accounting standards, statutory regulations, and corporate policies.
- Prepare technical accounting analyses and documentation to support statutory reporting requirements.
- Analyze financial records, balance sheet activity, and operational reports to identify discrepancies and support resolution efforts.
- Review accounting and reporting for Cash Pool transactions, including MEXGAAP rules, intercompany funding activities, and debt balances.
- Monitor and reconcile balances associated with Cash Pool structures.
Operational Support
- Ensure proper accounting treatment, documentation, and compliance for all accounting transactions into the FTEC Engineering Center and Manufacturing duties.
- Partner closely with Treasury, Tax, Corporate Accounting, Controllership, and Shared Services teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of financial information.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support financial processes, reporting activities, and action items from business meetings.
- Collaborate across teams to maintain strong financial controls, optimize workflows, and support operational objectives.
- Support internal control compliance, audit remediation activities, and continuous process improvements.
- Assist with regulatory filings and other statutory compliance requirements as needed.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, or external audit.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP (MEXGAAP) and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience of reporting to external audits and working with audit firms such as KPMG, PwC, EY, or Deloitte.
- Understanding of treasury processes, intercompany transactions, debt accounting, and cash pooling arrangements.
- Power BI and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage complex processes while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English.
