As aSenior Payroll Financial Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll accounting across the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada. In this role, you will partner closely with payroll, finance, and accounting teams to improve financial processes, strengthen reporting accuracy, and drive operational efficiency.
You will act as a key advisor, helping translate payroll activity into financial impact. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, streamline processes, and provide training to enhance the team’s financial knowledge and decision-making capabilities.
We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in accounting principles, and a proactive mindset to drive process improvements and deliver high-quality financial insights.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Standardize and improve account reconciliation processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the team.
- Enhance financial mapping and documentation for payroll processes, including overpayments and accruals.
- Record and optimize financial handling of payroll-related events such as terminations, taxes, penalties, and interest.
- Partner with finance and accounting teams to streamline payroll reporting and journal entry processes.
- Advise on system configurations (Dayforce) to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
- Train payroll team members on accounting concepts, strengthening financial understanding and reducing risk.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Payroll, Accounting, Controllers) to improve posting accuracy and operational effectiveness.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across payroll finance processes.
- Ensure a smooth transition of knowledge and process enhancements into the payroll team at the end of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP preferred.
- Ability to quickly build relationships, understand end-to-end processes, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and capable of driving improvements in a dynamic environment.
