We are seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Lead to manage and optimize FLSmidth's global software assets, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain FLSmidth's Software Asset Management (SAM) policies, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct regular software license reconciliations and audits to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and minimize financial risk.
- Manage the full lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, deployment, utilization tracking, and decommissioning.
- Negotiate with software vendors for favorable licensing terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization through license harvesting, consolidation, and alternative licensing models.
- Collaborate with IT procurement, legal, and finance departments to ensure integrated and compliant software asset management.
- Provide expertise and guidance on software licensing models, terms, and conditions to various stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date software asset inventory records and documentation within SAM tools.
- Prepare and present reports on software license compliance, utilization, and cost savings to management.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in software asset management.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) in a global enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow Software, ServiceNow ITAM).
- Strong understanding of various software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, user-based, core-based).
- In-depth knowledge of major software vendors' licensing policies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM) are highly desirable.
- Experience with ITIL framework and practices.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
