International company dedicated to the manufacturing of lifting systems such as industrial and commercial elevators, as well as escalators, with a presence in China, Europe, and now in America, we are opening our new operation in Mexico.
Fluent English-Spanish and Chinese.
I. Job Responsibilities (Core Tasks)
1. Capacity planning and new project introduction
- Responsible for the initial capacity planning of new products and production lines, and calculating peak capacity and annual/monthly capacity load based on customer demand.
- Complete the resource assessment for the new project: staffing, number of equipment, number of production lines, workstation layout, and site planning.
- Output standardized capacity planning reports, production line layout schemes, and mass production resource assessment reports to support project initiation and customer review.
2. Standard working hours and cycle time management
- Responsible for stopwatch timing throughout the entire process, standard working time verification, working time allowance setting, and establishing a product standard working time database.
- Calculate the production line's T/T demand cycle time and C/T bottleneck time, and output the standard capacity, hourly capacity, and daily capacity for each product.
- Regularly updating work hour data provides accurate basis for production scheduling, cost accounting, and capacity quotation.
3. Production line balancing and lean on-site improvement
- Responsible for production line balancing analysis, bottleneck process identification, workstation load optimization, and continuously improving the line balancing rate (target ≥ 85%).
- By breaking down and merging processes, optimizing motions, improving tooling, and optimizing personnel deployment, we can increase productivity, streamline manpower, and eliminate waste.
- Follow up on the implementation of improvements, and output data comparisons before and after optimization, improvement summaries, and benefit reviews.
4. On-site layout and efficiency improvement
- Responsible for production line layout planning, workstation optimization, logistics route optimization, and on-site 5S and lean implementation.
- Analyze production waste (waiting, handling, motion, inventory) to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects.
5. Data System and Standardization Development
- Establish data ledgers for working hours, production capacity, line balancing, and manpower efficiency, and output weekly/monthly improvement reports.
- Develop and update operational standards, workstation layout standards, and capacity accounting standards to solidify improvement results.
II . Job Requirements
1. Academic background and major
- Associate degree or above, with priority given to candidates majoring in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, economics and management, or production management.
2. Work experience
- 1+ years of experience as an IE engineer in the manufacturing industry, with preference given to candidates familiar with mass production improvement in the electronics/assembly/auto parts industries.
- Prior experience in new project capacity planning, production line setup, line balancing improvement, and standard working hour measurement is preferred.
3. Professional skills (mandatory requirement)
- Proficient in core IE techniques: stopwatch timing, standard working time, allowance, line balancing, cycle time, and capacity calculation.
- Capable of independently completing new project capacity planning, manpower/machine/line/site resource calculation, bottleneck analysis and improvement.
- Proficient in using Excel for data statistics, formula calculation, data comparison, and report output.
- Familiar with the logic of lean production, waste reduction, production line optimization, and efficiency improvement.
4. Overall quality
III . Core Outputs of the Position
- Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of new project production capacity and precise resource planning to avoid insufficient production capacity or waste of resources.
- Continuously optimize line balancing, reduce per-piece working hours, increase production line capacity, and optimize manpower allocation.
- Establish a standardized working hours and production capacity system to support stable mass production delivery and customer auditing.
- Continuously reduce costs and improve efficiency, delivering quantifiable improvements (saving manpower, increasing production, and reducing working hours).
