Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Logistics and Warehouse professional to join our operations in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate is a certified forklift operator with strong experience in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This role requires a valid TN Visa with the ability to change employers, as well as advanced English proficiency (C1) to communicate effectively in a fast-paced U.S. distribution environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse.
- Warehouse Management: Support daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Inventory Control: Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and ensure accuracy of stock levels in the system.
- Logistics Support: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, verify documentation, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company policies regarding equipment operation and material handling.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage or discrepancies and report findings to supervisors.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and workflow.
Candidate Profile Required:
- Visa Status: Valid Visa – HIGHLY REQUIRED.
- English Proficiency: B1 Level – Must be able to communicate fluently in English with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Certification: Certified Forklift Operator with hands-on experience. (Recomended)
- Experience: Proven experience in logistics and warehouse operations (3+ years preferred).
- Location: Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Pensilvania
- Skills: Knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS), basic computer skills, and ability to read shipping documents.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Technical Skills:
- Forklift Operation (Stand-up, Sit-down, Reach Truck).
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Inventory Control & Cycle Counting.
- Shipping/Receiving Procedures.
- Safety Protocols (OSHA Standards).
- Basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Soft Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in inventory and documentation.
- Communication: Strong English skills for effective on-site interaction.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with logistics coordinators and warehouse staff.
- Problem-Solving: Quick resolution of shipping or inventory discrepancies.
- Time Management: Efficiency in meeting deadlines and shipment schedules.
