The Team
The Global Trade team collaborates primarily with private-sector clients to provide solutions in international trade, customs, and trade remedies. Our professionals bring a unique combination of technical, legal, and operational experience, helping clients achieve greater and better results in their imports and exports—whether by providing tax advisory services, conducting compliance reviews and internal audits of foreign trade operations, supporting clients subject to audits by tax and customs authorities, addressing information requests, inspections and visits, administrative and judicial procedures such as customs formalities, administrative appeals, and litigation in tax, customs, and foreign trade matters, as well as investigations into unfair international trade practices. Collaboration with experts from diverse specializations, technical rigor, experience, and meticulousness are at the core of everything we do.
Job Description
As part of the team, you will play an important role in serving clients within the services described above, as well as have the opportunity to work directly at the highest level of our organization. You will be part of a multidisciplinary and international team that values responsibility, creativity, and commitment.
How You Will Contribute
Support the preparation and development of materials and proposals for new business opportunities.
Apply technical and strategic knowledge to offer clients innovative ideas and solutions.
Collaborate with the team to manage information received from clients and authorities involved in the procedures.
Draft legal briefs, responses to questionnaires, technical arguments, and regulatory analyses.
Follow up with authorities and clients.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
Compile documents with the formal requirements necessary for submission to the various authorities resolving the procedures in which our clients are involved.
Prepare presentations and reports for internal discussions and client meetings.
Contribute to project execution, ensuring alignment with timelines, scope, and quality expectations.
Monitor client proceedings to ensure they progress as quickly as possible and in the most advantageous manner.
Prepare informational bulletins on relevant topics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law (licensed/credentialed).
Ideally, professional experience handling judicial and administrative proceedings (tax, customs, and/or anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations), as well as filings before local and federal authorities.
Proficiency in English for both verbal communication and drafting documents in this language.
Preferably, solid knowledge of the Federal Law on Contentious Administrative Procedure, the Customs Law and its Regulations, the Foreign Trade Law and its Regulations, as well as the WTO Anti-Dumping Agreement and the Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures.
Strong commitment and sense of responsibility.
Familiarity with handling, compiling, modifying, storing, and managing electronic documents, and with using technological tools such as document-processing software and cloud-based document transmission/reception.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Sense of urgency.
