Responsibilities:

Project implementation through coordination and involvement with contractors, partners and the different areas involved in the project.

Coordinate the operation of PMF, development and implementation of national initiatives established by the Global Engineering Council, the Packaging Automation Task Force, the Horizontal Teams and Controls & Information PepsiCo Global Task Force.

Be the point contact person for communication, research and implementation feasibilities if any of the decisions of the technical group for vertical packaging, making contact with the group of technicians worldwide and the technical areas of the company.

Develop engineering talent to meet the needs of the company in the creation and implementation of projects.

Generate alternatives for the implementation of projects without disrupting the business continuity
- Vertical Packaging Automation and DVC spans the entire geography nationwide with over +8 savory plants and +400 vertical machines in PMF.

This post should work closely with +300 suppliers and contractors to ensure technological leadership.

The office handles annually at least +5 project, which are + 5MMUSD/project and include different engineering skills for validation, justification and approval.

Ensure the right connectivity of the packaging equipment (Primary and Secondary) with the Data Collection systems allocated in the plant (Digital Value Chain)

Defines and expands automation horizontally among all savory operations, creating a complete strategy between Packaging, packaging automation and Digital Value Chain integration.
Your Impact

This position has the responsibility to manage and coordinate resources for the implementation of engineering projects of vertical packaging, supporting the continuity of operations, growth and innovation of the company.
- Preparation of annual plan of projects that support the safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement that positively impact the business in the company.

Preparation of the roadmap for Automation in our packaging processes including material handling, product handling, and all packaging related operations.

This position also supports the Digital Value Chain agenda, making sure that the equipment has the right connectivity and technological possibility to have communication with the IT infrastructure and ERP within the plant operations.

To identify operational priorities within his team, whilst negotiating and coordinating the necessary cross-functional and external resources needed to deliver agreed programs within the agreed timeframe.

To leverage a combination of functional and business expertise to identify, scope and execute initiatives to reduce cost and hence drive sustainable profit growth within the region.

Ensure that all global standards regarding “Machinery and Equipment Safety Standards” are met for all machinery used in the primary/secondary packaging for our snacks production facilities (peanuts, savory, candies).
Qualifications:
Who Are We Looking For?
- Education: Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial)
- Experience in food processing plants.

+8yrs of experience in packaging related projects.

+10 years experience in Engineering (including the different specializations: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental) with critical experience in Operation

Excellent understanding and application of business knowledge across the broader business environment

Bilingual, fluent in English.
- Familiarity and comfort with working across varied, diverse, international cultures.
