Job Description
We're looking for a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Queretaro, Mexico for the Vehicle Motion Steering (VM-ST). In this role, you'll take ownership of designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for automotive industry. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to transform complex technical requirements into robust, manufacturable designs that drive our organization forward. Design and develop 3D mechanical concepts and comprehensive part lists for customized machines and equipment used in advanced manufacturing environments

Management of Engineering changes in coordination with other roles and departments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs meet technical, functional, operational, and quality requirements

Manage and organize product data using Product Data Management (PDM) systems, including Creo Parametric & Windchill to maintain design integrity and traceability

Define and apply tolerance chain specifications for tooling and machinery to ensure precision and performance standards

Conduct on-site acceptance testing and validation at supplier facilities to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize designs, reduce costs, and enhance product performance

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications in accordance with industry standards and organizational guidelines

Perform 2D and 3D Stackups and tolerance calculations
Qualifications
**Education**
-
Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
**Experience**
-
Experience in machine design, equipment development, or related mechanical engineering roles
-
Proven expertise with 3D CAD mechanical design software (Creo Parametric, or similar platforms)

Demonstrated experience with PLM/PDM systems; Windchill or similar platforms
-
Background in defining tolerance chains and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
