Position Overview
The Investment Analyst will support acquisition underwriting, development analysis, and asset management activities across a diversified commercial real estate portfolio. The role offers broad exposure to deal execution, portfolio management, and investment strategy, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders and internal investment committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Support acquisition underwriting, development analysis, and asset management across a multi-market real estate portfolio.
- Build, update, and maintain financial models for acquisitions, including sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and prepare investment memorandums and presentations for internal investment committee review.
- Track acquisition pipeline and support deal execution through underwriting, due diligence, financing, and closing processes.
- Assist with development feasibility analysis and budgeting, including evaluation of returns, capital structure, and project viability.
- Monitor asset performance versus underwriting assumptions and support quarterly forecasting and portfolio reporting.
- Analyze tenant financials and support lease evaluation, operating budgets, and capital expenditure planning.
- Collaborate with acquisitions, development, leasing, and finance teams on cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in real estate investment analysis, underwriting, development finance, or asset management.
- Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of commercial real estate investment concepts and deal structures.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with multifamily, office, hospitality, or other institutional real estate asset classes.
- Exposure to retail or shopping center real estate is a plus.
- Familiarity with Argus Enterprise (AE) is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing investment presentations or working with institutional-quality models is a plus.
