Tactical Sourcing Leader – Commodity Manager
Location: Chihuahua, Chih.
AB Recruitment is searching a Sourcing Manager for a Manufacturing company located in Chihuahua City. The incumbent is responsible for sourcing direct and indirect raw materials, manage suppliers’ certifications and performance, negotiate contract conditions and partnership. Optimize costs, ensure steady supply of goods, and mitigate risks across multiple manufacturing sites. Leads the full lifecycle of sourcing—from opportunity identification and strategy development in alignment with Purchasing department, ensure sourcing decisions are fully deployed, embraced by plant operations, and translated into measurable and sustainable business value. The role plays a critical part in driving standardization, MRO integration, supplier performance, and transformation from decentralized to structured sourcing models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify indirect sourcing and savings opportunities for manufacturing services, and other high‑impact categories.
- Define and execute sourcing strategies, including processes and supplier selection.
- Drive supplier transitions, Lead deployment of sourcing decisions across all plants, ensuring consistent process standardization, execution and adoption.
- Ensure sourcing strategies to support plant operations and supply continuity.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives,track savings in partnership with Finance.
- Lead MRO integration initiatives, including supplier consolidation and SKU standardization.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance and continuous improvement.
- Build risk mitigation plans for supply disruptions and implement dual-sourcing strategies.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Education: Supply chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field, MBA a plus.
- Bilingual English - Spanish
- 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, materials procurement, supply chain leadership, proven success in high-growth or ramp-up environments.
- Experience in FDA regulated manufacturing products.
- Expertise in ERP systems, MRO integration, and procurement tools.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage suppliers under aggressive timelines.
- Project Management skills. Experience working in a global organization
- Leadership, Strong coaching and organizational skills, Ability to organize and lead teams under pressure.
