What to Expect
We are looking for a PCBA Supplier Industrialization Engineer to plan, organize, direct and conduct industrialization related activities within the supply chain team. They will also develop, manage, audit, improve and correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques, as well as quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification.
What You'll Do-
Industrialize, qualify Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) suppliers

Research and develop new processes and material to face future challenges

Provide Design For Manufacturability (DFM) feedback, working with design team, machinery vendors, Contract Manufacturers (CM) and tier 2 suppliers

Support on New Product Introduction (NPI) for challenging assemblie. Plan, organize, direct and conduct industrialization related activities within the supply chain team

Develop, manage, audit, improve and correct supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques, as well as quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification. Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers

Support PCBA NPI development and qualification activities at suppliers. Lead supplier improvements in scalability, cost, and quality. Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements between Suppliers and Tesla Purchasing, Quality, and Design teams

Address supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations. Collaborate with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine the ideal performance specifications and supplier metrics

Lead, tracking and improve supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes

Guide suppliers in developing exceptionally robust processes and procedures to promote efficient and seamless production of high-quality products

Validate supplier corrective actions involving design or process changes to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and suppliers. Provide input on new or alternative materials for improved design, manufacturability, or cost reduction

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, and 2+ years of work experience or equivalent experience

2 year of experience with PPAP or APQP processes

2 year of experience in working in supplier quality or industrialization or contract manufacturing

2 year of experience supporting internal product development, supplier setup, and ramp up activities

2 year of experience in technical project management and new product introductions (NPI)

Must have 2 years of experience in working on electro-mechanical assembly process development

2 years of experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis

2 years of product cycle management experience with suppliers

2 years of experience in IPC standard for PCBA manufacturing. Years of experience in Six Sigma and problem-solving methodologie

Requires domestic travel up to 5% and international travel up to 30%, in order to perform supplier audits and production line developments
